Every Child is Student of the Month at Foundations School Community
Foundations School Community prepares students to become proactive citizens in a democratic society. Our social studies core curriculum provides students with a solid academic program implemented through the progressive philosophy of John Dewey and the developmental teachings of Jean Piaget.
Emotional, social, and physical safety is emphasized through our curriculum as a means of ensuring that all students feel safe and connected to one another. As students work together on various projects and community service projects, both inside and outside of our school community, they develop respect for diversity, compassion for humanity and an understanding of the importance of serving others.
When our students leave FSC, they are deeply connected, insightful, self-motivated children who are not only proactive in their quest for knowledge, but are open-minded to others and yet secure enough in their own “foundation” to confidently meet the challenges of a complex and ever-changing world!
